Struggling with Weight Loss? Here’s the Truth No One Tells You
Have you ever cut out carbs, gone sugar-free, or tried fasting… and still felt stuck?
The problem isn’t you.
It’s the confusing diet advice that makes you believe you need to restrict certain foods to see results.
But the real reason you’re not getting anywhere comes down to something much simpler. It’s called caloric balance.
What Is Caloric Balance?

Caloric balance is the relationship between how much you eat and how much you burn through daily activities and exercise.
This balance controls whether you lose fat, maintain your weight, or gain muscle.
Let’s Break It Down
1. Eating Less Than You Burn = Fat Loss (Calorie Deficit)
When you eat fewer calories than your body needs, you lose fat. This is how fat loss happens.
Not by cutting carbs or starving yourself, but by creating the right calorie gap.
2. Eating More Than You Burn = Weight or Muscle Gain (Calorie Surplus)
To build muscle or gain healthy weight, you need to eat a little more than you burn.
Of course, this works best when combined with strength training.
3. Eating the Same as You Burn = Weight Maintenance (Calorie Balance)
If you’re happy with your current weight, your goal is to match your intake with what your body burns each day.
Why This Matters More Than Eating “Clean”
You can lose fat eating carbs.
You can gain weight eating healthy foods.
You can maintain weight while enjoying your favorite chocolate.
The truth is, no food is bad or off-limits.
What matters most is the total amount you eat compared to what you burn.
How to Find Your Balance
Calculate your maintenance calories to know how much your body needs each day.
Adjust based on your goal:
For fat loss, aim to eat about 20% less than maintenance.
For muscle gain, aim to eat about 10% more than maintenance.
If you don’t know how to calculate that, I can help.
